2023 Stuart Camps Snapshot

CAMP STUART (Ages 3-5)

Our co-ed program provides exploration for young learners. The main objective is to provide an environment in which the children are involved in a broad range of recreational, intellectual and artistic activities and to have FUN! Your child will develop reading readiness through story time and cultivate understanding of basic math concepts through the use of calendar, puzzles, blocks and games. Our expert and nurturing preschool educators will foster gross motor skill through outdoor play and hikes and waken an appreciation of the art and crafts, music and nature.

Dates: June 20 through August 4

STUART SUMMER ACADEMY (Grades 1-4)

The Stuart Summer Academy is the premiere summer experience for young learners. Your elementary school aged daughter will explore the world around her right here on our beautifully wooded campus. With a perfectly balanced summer experience of academics coupled with afternoon themed activities, this camp is designed specifically for the interests and needs of a Lower School student.

For campers in grades 1 and 2, the morning is centered on play-based learning and emphasizes routines and developing skill sets. A focus on communication, community, and building friendships as well as an awareness of self-regulation skills are taught through routines and structures, hands-on learning, group instruction and center rotation. Daily sessions for campers in grades 3 and 4 are centered on thematic projects like nonfiction writing, math game days and fictional story writing. This camp provides the premier educational experience for girls through a balance of academia and experiential learning and is open to Stuart girls and non-Stuart girls alike.
