[WEBINAR]: Empowering Future Leaders through Stuart’s Leadership Endorsement Program

[WEBINAR]: Empowering Future Leaders through Stuart’s Leadership Endorsement Program

Stuart's National Center for Girls Leadership (NCGLS) hosted a webinar introducing the Leadership Endorsement Program, a four-year research and leadership development experience available to Upper School students. Kristen Zosche, Head of Upper School, walked families through the program's course progression, areas of concentration, and real-world outcomes. Current juniors Brie and Izzy shared their firsthand experiences — Brie through her work with UPenn's Social Innovators Program and Izzy through her in-progress historical fiction novel set in 1946 New Orleans.

Of her UPenn mentors, Brie shared: "The person who was moderating my group and who I met with on a weekly basis was actually a UPenn professor, which was an amazing experience. And we also had our own TA who was a UPenn alum ... I learned so much, [and] I was able to build great connections."

Reflecting on the support she's received, Izzy shared: "I have this agency to figure it out... and I think Stuart's really good at being able to say, 'You got this, you know you can do it, and these are the steps that you can take.'"

Recent graduate Maya, now studying neuroscience at Northwestern University, reflected on how the program shaped her path forward, noting that it "made me realize how much I loved research" and laid the foundation for the lab work she is pursuing in college.
