Stuart senior hosts violin and piano recital

Senior Elise Hwang recently hosted a violin and piano recital on Sunday, May 18, in the Black Box Theater. Her recital, which she produced, featured a rich and challenging program including Violin Sonata in G Major, K. 301 by Mozart, Beethoven’s “Tempest” Sonata (Movement III), Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Chopin’s Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Ravel’s virtuosic Tzigane, and the Vivace from Bach’s Double Violin Concerto in D Minor, BWV 1043.

Next year, Elise will be double majoring in violin performance and engineering, and we’re thrilled she had the opportunity to present a solo recital before beginning her college journey. Click below to watch the live stream recording of her recital.
