Junior Hadassah Broughton is Stuart’s 2026 school winner for Poetry Out Loud. Last year, Hadassah advanced to the national competition, earning a top-nine finish in the country.
In recognition of her work as the New Jersey State Champion, Hadassah was recently invited to perform at the Red Bank Community Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at The Vogel, part of the Count Basie Center for the Arts. The free public event brought together artists, students, and community members to honor Dr. King’s legacy through poetry and performance.
Hadassah will represent Stuart again this year at the New Jersey regional competition on February 3 at Rutgers–Camden. We congratulate Hadassah on her continued success and wish her the very best as she advances in this year’s competition.
