Save the Children Club leads “Have a Heart for Kids” campaign in Lower School to support global education access

Before spring break, members of the Save the Children Club visited the Lower School to share their “Have a Heart” presentation as part of the Save the Children Action Network’s Have a Heart for Kids campaign. Together, Aroush, Fatima El Banna, and Hadassah Broughton introduced younger students to the mission of Save the Children and talked about why advocating for children matters. They discussed how many children around the world, especially girls in places like Afghanistan, must overcome significant barriers to access education, and shared Who Says Women Can’t Be Doctors?, the story of Elizabeth Blackwell, whose determination reflects the power of education to open doors.

Our goal was to inspire the younger generations to understand global challenges, develop empathy, and recognize that even small voices can create meaningful change. We believe that having a heart means using our opportunities, education, and voices to stand up for children everywhere and help build a kinder, more equitable future.
