Eighth graders bring immigration stories to life through museum exhibits

Eighth graders bring immigration stories to life through museum exhibits

As the culminating project for their unit on immigration, eighth graders researched and presented information about immigration to America by creating museum exhibits. In pairs, students explored the immigration history of a particular ethnic identity and, using primarily material artifacts as primary sources, created a representation of that group's experience, highlighting push and pull factors, experience and reception in America, and the cultural values they brought with them.
