This week, Lower School STEM Specialist Kate O'Brian gathered the third and fourth graders for the official ribbon cutting of their Dream Lab - a full student-led and designed space. The Lower School Dream Lab offers a creative and open-ended environment where students can explore, design, and build using a variety of materials. Stocked with repurposed materials from Stuart’s art and STEM programs and designed by the third and fourth grade STEM classes, the Dream Lab encourages hands-on learning and imaginative play, allowing children to transform everyday items into unique projects through the engineering design process. This space also fosters environmental stewardship, creative problem-solving, and multi-grade collaboration, giving young minds the freedom to dream and create with limitless possibilities. Stay tuned for more ways that the girls will use this space!
