Fourth graders honor women from Revolutionary War period with "Remember the Ladies" program

In the fourth grade, the Remember the Ladies program represents the culmination of learning across many subject areas. This year in social studies, the girls studied the American Revolution and the events that led to the war. While in language arts class they read biographies of women during the Colonial time period. They researched these women thoroughly and used that information to write nonfiction reports, which were paired with colorful portraits completed in art. In music class, the girls learned patriotic songs, which they performed at the beginning of the program. They also worked cooperatively to write their own scripts - which were both informative and funny - and performed them for the Lower School and their families in the Stuart Little Theater. Great job, fourth grade!
