This Black History Month, the Stuart Black Alumnae Committee, in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB), has launched an inspiring and educational door-decorating contest in the Middle School!
The theme? Highlighting the incredible contributions of Black women in STEM. Each advisory group is rolling up their sleeves, tapping into their creativity, and working together to design doors that pay tribute to these trailblazing women.
The contest kicked off this week with enthusiasm and are buzzing with ideas and designs. They have until February 26th to put their final touches on their masterpieces.
Judging these creative doors will be a few of our very own Stuart Black Alumnae and members of the US Black Student Union (BSU), who are just as excited to see the advisory groups' creations.
What’s at stake? The winning advisory group will be rewarded with a much-loved dress-down day, adding a fun twist to the competition.
Let’s celebrate the achievements of Black women in STEM and encourage our students to learn, create, and innovate. Stay tuned for updates and may the best door win!
