Fourth graders design Buddy Bench as a Student Diversity Board initiative

As leaders of the Lower School, fourth graders have an opportunity to sit on the Student Diversity Board (SDBoard), which launched in 2020-2021. One of the initiatives from last year's class, was to create a "Buddy Bench" to help the Lower School be more inclusive on the playground. This bench would be open to students who want a friend to play with. When seeing a student sitting on this bench, our Stuart girls would reach out to that student and include her in whatever it is they are playing. The girls should be proud of the impact they have left behind and will carry through their experiences in the Stuart Middle School.
