Varsity field hockey defeats George School 4-1 in second game of the season

Varsity field hockey defeats George School 4-1 in second game of the season

On Saturday Sept. 11, the varsity field hockey team took on the George School in their second game of the season. Prior to the start of the game the teams and fans held a moment of silence to remember, honor, and pray for the lives lost and families affected.

Stuart won the hard fought match against a tenacious George School 4-1. The defense held strong, and the midfield and attack played with poise and consistency for 4 quarters. Junior Lily Harlan pounded the backboard for the first goal on a corner play and she was assisted by Kaitlyn Magnani. Isabel Milley played an aerial ball for the second goal. Lily's 2nd goal came in the 3rd quarter and Kaitlyn connected for the 4th goal, again on a corner set play, assisted by Emily Ix.  Stuart had 22 shots to George's 5. Keya Patel recorded an awesome defensive save. Way to go defense and offense!

Go Stuart!!
