Stuart community gives thanks with multicultural ceremony

With grateful hearts and open hearts, we can be a light for others and in the world.

We are a community of belonging and a community of action. At this morning's Giving Thanks Prayer Service, the Stuart community came together with gratitude for God's many blessings in our lives and to celebrate our rich diversity and cultural traditions as students, faculty and staff read prayers of Thanksgiving in different languages. And in modeling Goal 3 - a social awareness which impels to action - the Outreach and Campus Ministry Committees recognized the efforts for this year's food drive as members of the community carried food items to the front of Cor Unum. Candles were then lit to represent the ways in which we -- as one Sacred Heart school -- will model Goal 1 by spreading the light of hope, truth, love and care locally and globally before the room joined together for the closing song, "This little light of mine."
