Welcome new faculty and staff for the 2018-2019 school year!

We are thrilled to introduce to you an incredible group of new faculty and staff members for the 2018-2019 school year! These gifted individuals bring immense experience, talent and skills that will enhance our community and enrich the learning experiences for your girls and young boys, each and every day.

  • Melissa von Stade: Ms. von Stade joins us with 35 years of development experience at Harvard, UPenn, and most recently, The Peddie School. An independent consultant and expert in the field, she will be assisting in our search for director of Institutional Advancement and will be serving as our interim director in the coming school year.
  • Sonia Dellas: Ms. Dellas will be joining the World Language team to teach French in the Lower School after substituting at Stuart for several years. Before relocating to Princeton, Ms. Dellas was an instructor and tutor in her native France.
  • Angelina Howard: Ms. Howard joins Stuart from the Conservatory Lab Charter School in Dorchester, Mass. to serve as Stuart's Middle and Upper School Counselor. Ms. Howard holds a BA in Psychology from Providence College and a Master in Social Work from Simmons College in Boston. Her prior experience includes working for the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families supporting some of the most vulnerable students in the state. We are excited to have Ms. Howard join our community and continue the work in strengthening our social-emotional education and support programs.
  • Elizabeth Maurer: Ms. Maurer will be joining the Learning Center staff working with our Upper School students. She holds her BA in Psychology from Penn State University, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Rider University, and an MA in Special Education from Holy Family University. For the past seven years, Ms. Maurer has served as the director of guidance at Villa Victoria Academy in Ewing. Previously, Ms. Maurer ran her own tutoring business and worked as a special education teacher in public schools.
  • Linda Monticello: Ms. Monticello will be teaching Spanish in the Middle School. Teaching is a second career for Ms. Monticello after earning her BS from Seton Hall and working in information technology and financial management at AT&T. Ms. Monticello went on to teach Spanish at Montgomery, New Brunswick, and Robbinsville High Schools. For the last seven years, Ms. Monticello has been at The Hun School as both a teacher and teacher coach. We are excited to have Ms. Monticello, with her wealth of experience, join Stuart's faculty.
  • Mario Murray: Mr. Murray will oversee Stuart's instrumental program. Mr. Murray is a retired Army staff sergeant with an amazing life journey. He was trained at the U.S. Army and Navy Schools of Music and was a featured trumpeter in the U.S. Army Band. Mr. Murray also served actively in Afghanistan, where he was a survivor of an attack on his base. He has also worked in the music industry with notable performers such as Mariah Carey, Faith Evans, Ashanti, and JaRule. Most recently, Mr. Murray has led individual and group music lessons at the World of Music.
  • Jessi Oliano: Ms. Oliano will be teaching Photo I in the Upper School. She holds a BA in Journalism and an MBA from Rider University. Ms. Oliano has taught photography and graphic design at Rider University as an adjunct assistant professor for the past six years and also served as as the special projects assistant in the university's Liberal Arts and Science & Health Science Institute.
  • Kealan Oliver/Kelly Raveling: In the first grade, Ms. Oliver will lead the class through Christmas break, at which time we will welcome back Ms. Raveling to the Lower School faculty. Ms. Raveling taught third grade at Stuart for 3 1/2 years before leaving to raise two young children. She has a BS in Elementary Education from the Elizabethtown College of Pennsylvania and a Master of Education from Framingham State University. We are excited to have Ms. Oliver join Stuart from the Cambridge School where she served as a lead teacher for the last four years. Previously, she served as a lead PK/K teacher in Pennsylvania. Ms. Oliver has a BA in Journalism from Penn State and a Master in Elementary Education from Lehigh University.
  • Laurie Yera Parker: Ms. Parker is joining our Early Childhood team as a roving assistant and Spanish teacher. Before a short stint at Educational Testing Services, Ms. Parker spent eight years teaching French at Princeton Day School. She also spent seven years as an ESL teacher at the Princeton Adult School.
  • Karen Poch: Ms. Poch will be joining the Stuart faculty as the lead teacher in Junior Kindergarten. For the last three years, Ms. Poch has served as the lead Pre-K teacher at Sunbeam Christian Preschool in Jackson, N.J. Prior to this, she had served as kindergarten and first grade teacher at Catholic schools in New Jersey and Maryland. Ms. Poch has a BA in Elementary Education from Loyola University in Maryland.
  • Juana Rosario: Ms. Rosario will join our Early Childhood team as an assistant teacher after spending six years as a head teacher for 3 to 5-year-olds at the Seventh Avenue Family Services Head Start Program. We know our program will benefit from Juana's wonderful experience and infectious positivity.
