Three juniors receive prestigious university awards for academic achievement

Congratulations to juniors Tina Zhang, Grace Sheppard, and Mira Marlink for being honored with prestigious university awards during morning announcements on Friday.

The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) Medal has been awarded to Tina Zhang. This medal is given to a junior who has achieved the highest cumulative grades in the fields of mathematics and science in his/her graduating class.

The Smith Book Award is given to a student who exemplifies the academic achievement, leadership qualities, and concern for others that characterize the thousands of women who have graduated from Smith College. This year's recipient is Grace Sheppard.

The Yale Book Award is given to a student who exemplifies outstanding personal character and intellectual promise. This year's recipient is Mira Marlink.
