Stuart's historic 2019 track season ends on a high note

With big wins at the Mercer County meet and a Prep B championship behind them, the final weekend for Stuart track produced more records at the Mercer County freshman/sophomore meet and the evening sprint race at West Windsor-Plainsboro North.

Saturday's freshman/sophomore meet showcased our younger runners. Cara Carr '21 had a personal best and received a third place medal in the 400m individual hurdles. She also had a big personal best in the 100m hurdles and medaled in the triple jump.

Lia Bull-Krieg '21 made the final in the 100m with a personal best of 13.58s and a personal best in the javelin. Alex Knill '22 also had a personal best in the 100m and 400m individual hurdles.

Audrey Blandford '22 won the freshman high jump and also had a personal best in the 400m individual hurdles. High jump teammate Misha Meyer '21 cleared the same height as Audrey in the sophomore division and also medaled.

Noelia Manion '22 medaled in the pole vault almost clearing 7' while having a personal best in the 100m and triple jump.

Jadyn Piotrowski '22 had her best meet medaling in the triple, and earning a personal best in the 100m. She also joined fellow her classmates Alex K., Noelia and Audrey in the 4x400m relay in recording their best relay splits.

In the sophomore 4x400m relay, a school record was set by Sophia Scheulov '21, Misha M., Allison Tarbotton '21 (who had a personal record in the javelin and 100m), and the anchor leg Olivia Evans '21 who also ran a fine 800m. Fellow distance runner Melanie Burgess '21 ran a competitive 1600m.

On Thursday night's sprint race, Alex Ottomanelli '20 moved the school record in the 800m to a new level finishing in just 2:22.16.

Sophia S. and Olivia E. also ran the 800m that evening with big personal best.

Emerlee Simons '20, Stuart's Prep B 400m champion and record holder, finished her first track season that night with a quality 200m at 26.82s.
