Recently, in their STEM class with Ms. Nickerson, the third graders completed a unit of study exploring the properties of magnetism. They applied their knowledge of the magnetic forces of attraction and repelling to design and create a game that functioned using these forces. As they tested the game, students applied critical thinking skills such as cause and effect to troubleshoot and problem solve design challenges. The girls then presented what they learned about magnetic forces by sharing their games with the Lower School community. See photos from their presentations below or in our photo gallery.
