The young women of the Stuart Class of 2019 spent the last week in May participating in Stuart's fifth annual FaithJustice Xperience. This service trip is part of the final theology course, Faith and Social Justice. The seniors spent the entire week at the Center for FaithJustice in Lawrenceville to work in groups on daily community service projects for one of five nonprofit organizations in the Trenton area: Carolyn Stokes Preschool, Harmony Hollow Farm, Catholic Youth Organization, Sprout State University, and Visitation Home. Each evening, the girls reconvened for discussion and reflection activities, and prayer. In the mornings and evenings, they led their own prayers and reflections for the group. The seniors discussed difficult issues of social injustice, inequality, and how they could use their own gifts and talents to become leaders in the world. This senior service trip truly embodies all five of the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria as our "almost graduates" strive to live what they learn and believe. Click here for photos.
