First and fifth graders recently buddied-up in the MSRC and enjoyed sharing their work with each other. As part of an interdisciplinary social studies, literacy, art and STEM unit, each first grader researched a farm animal. They wrote and illustrated a multi-chaptered non-fiction book. Applying computer science skills, they also created a Scratch Jr. animation using block coding. The older buddies were quite impressed! Fifth graders shared their original poems, written as part of an English poetry unit. See photos below or in our photo gallery.
