Chinese culture is celebrated through music, art and traditional food at Mid-Autumn Festival

On Wednesday, September 26, students celebrated The Mid-Autumn Festival during lunch. The Mid-Autumn Festival, or Moon Festival, is one of the most important traditional Chinese holidays and a time to celebrate the harvest and family. The celebration included music, moon cakes, and tea provided by our Chinese parents group. The program included performances on the violin by fifth graders Claire Wang and Sophie Yang along with current parent Lishan Wu. Emily Yang '19 played the Chinese zither before a captivated audience, and a tea ceremony was performed by sixth grader Sheila Zhang and freshman Angelina Ye. Thank you to the over 30 parents and past parents who organized and participated in this fabulous event. Click here for photos and videos from the performances.
