Lower School students pick 1500 pounds of peppers to help stock NJ food pantries

While Middle and Upper School students were off from school for conferences, the Lower School put Goal 3 into action at Specca Farms Pick Your Own in Bordentown. Through our partnership with Farmers Against Hunger — which was started in 1996 as a way to enable farmers throughout New Jersey to contribute their extra produce to those in need — we were asked to pick peppers for area food pantries. The girls embodied what it means to be #StuartProud by showing their enthusiasm, joy and kind-hearted nature by picking over 1500 lbs of peppers! Our helping hands came in the nick of time: the weather forecast is calling for frost this weekend and all of the peppers would have gone to waste. The Lower School Team is proud of the service they provided for the farm. Click here for photos.
