Congratulations to Stuart Field Hockey Head Coach Missy Bruvik on being named Coach of the Year by the Times of Trenton and to senior Caroline Mullen for being named the Top Female Performer for the fall season by Town Topics Newspaper.
In the Coach of the Year announcement released on Wednesday, December 4, Bruvik's nearly 40 year coaching career was put in the spotlight due to the stellar performance of the 2019 team.
"Stuart's Missy Bruvik has been coaching field hockey at Stuart for 38 years, so it's safe to say she knows what she is doing. Still, for all of that experience, Bruvik may have never had a team quite like the one she coached this season."
For Caroline's recognition as Top Female Performer, Coach Bruvik told Bill Alden at Town Topics that she was the "catalyst for every practice and every game, directing kids," and "her passion for the game shows in her play, on her face, and in her intensity."
We are #StuartProud of Coach Bruvik and Caroline! Go Stuart Field Hockey!
