Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! Out Stuart community kicked-off another year with a welcome party complete with bubbles, balloons, and Stuie! The first day of school is always an abbreviated schedule with a special assembly at the end of the day. With a school theme of #StuartProud, we wrapped up our day with an uplifting program led by Student Government President Natalie Pemberton who shared why she is proud to be a part of the Stuart community: "For me - I am proud of my friends. I am proud of how we support each other. I am proud of our teachers who help us become the best version of ourselves. I am proud of my teammates. I love this school, and I am proud to be a part of it."
After surprising students with a special video message from members of the Class of 2019, we welcomed Jennifer Chin-Gorner from Dance it Up in Hamilton to talk about what it means to be proud, why we should always want to grow, and what it means to be a leader. She closed the program with a dance party that had students from all grades up on stage together. Ms. Chin-Gorner has been a guest artist for World Arts Day in the Middle School for many years, and we knew her inspirational messages would help set the tone for the coming year.
