COVID Info

Any student, faculty, or staff who exhibits one or more COVID-19 like symptoms (as listed below) in a way that is not normal for them must stay at home and notify Stuart.

• At least two of the following symptoms: fever (100.4), chills, rigors (shivers),  myalgia (muscle aches), headache, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, congestion  or runny nose;

OR 

• At least one of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, new  olfactory disorder, new taste disorder. 

** While the above are known symptoms, it has been found that many children and some adults are asymptomatic and still testing positive. 

CDC's recommendation for When to do a COVID test 

If your child is presenting COVID symptoms, please keep your child home and follow-up with a test.

Home test results are accepted. If you test positive, please contact your Division Head and the School Nurse. Follow the chart below for quarantine and return date guidelines. 

If you keep having symptoms and do not get better, please contact your healthcare provider.
 

• If you test positive for COVID-19 and/or have COVID compatible symptoms and/or if you are awaiting test results, stay home and isolate from other people for at least 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of  symptoms).
   
• You may return on the sixth day, if symptoms resolve and your child is fever-free for 24 hours and other symptoms have improved. 
   
• From day 6 through day 10, students will be required to adhere to strict masking at all times except for meals, which will be eaten in a separate area distanced from other students. Extra-curricular activities will also be limited to those where students can wear masks at all times.

At this time, Stuart does not conduct close contact tracing.

If you or your child has been exposed to COVID, CDC recommends masking for 10 days and get tested after day 5, on the sixth day.

Students who are COVID positive will be offered a remote learning option. If your child tests positive and feels well enough to follow remote learning, please submit an image of the test result to the division head. 

CDC Vaccination Guidance 

Immediate Action - Regardless of vaccination status: Staff/student will be provided with a surgical mask to wear. The nurse will evaluate the individual who will then go to the Isolation Room and wait for being picked up asap. If capable, the staff will leave the building immediately and go home.

There are no restrictions for campus visitors at this time.

COVID-19 vaccines are now readily available for people ages 6 months and older.

Vaccine Docket

Docket is a mobile app that makes it easier for you and your family to securely access your COVID-19 vaccination record.

If you don’t have your vaccination card with you or have lost it, you can easily access your record through the app to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, as needed.

The Docket app is now available in the App Store or on Google Play.
