On Friday June 7, the Lower School celebrated the end of the school year with an afternoon of fun on the Stuart turf! Activities included sand art, visor decorating, donut-on-a-string eating contest, parachute games, potato sack and three-legged races, and much more. The Kona Ice Truck was also onsite to deliver refreshing treats.
Stuart Parent Association (SPA)
Stuart enjoys the support of a very active and enthusiastic parent organization. Parent involvement has been a key element to the success that can seen every day in the hallways at Stuart.
The Stuart Parent Association (SPA) welcomes your involvement and participation in the school’s activities. As a volunteer, you will find that each group seeks to foster the mission and values of Stuart and the Society of the Sacred Heart. Your involvement will be an enjoyable and personally rewarding experience.
Stuart First Friday Gathering
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no First Friday gatherings in the fall. Information on future dates will be communicated in early 2021.
The Stuart First Friday Gathering is an ecumenical community of faith whose members are committed to deepening their spiritual lives. The Gathering began in 1963 shortly after Stuart's founding and meets regularly to pray, to reflect, to discuss and to celebrate the Eucharist.

November 12 Lecture
Princeton Common Ground (PCG) is proud to host Dr. Marc Brackett, founding director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Professor in the Child Study Center of Yale University. Brackett is the lead developer of RULER, an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning that has been adopted by nearly 2,000 pre-K through high schools across the United States and in other countries. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL).
Marc will be discussing his book, “Permission to Feel: Unlocking the Power of Emotions to Help Our Kids, Ourselves, and Our Society Thrive.” Supported by compelling research and powerful stories, Brackett outlines a blueprint for understanding emotions and using them wisely so that they help, rather than hinder, success and well-being.
With a fall semester underway unlike any other, the need to keep physical distance makes social emotional connectedness all the more important, especially for children and teens. Marc will be sharing insights from his work and discuss why self-compassion and emotion regulation are key to coping with COVID-19.
Please join us for this interactive live webinar on Thursday, November 12th at 7PM moderated by Peter Quinn, Head of School at The Peddie School.

This past Thursday, May 2, Stuart hosted our annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, also known as "Thanks-A-Latte." Stuart was happy to host many parent volunteers and offer them fresh brewed espresso drinks from the talented Benfatto Coffee baristas! Dr. Fagin, Christen Jones, and outgoing SPA President, Ludwig Zebrauskas, all shared their thanks for the incredible amount of time and effort that Stuart parents put into our school.
On Friday, October 5, 150 current and past parents, faculty/staff members, and alumnae gathered for the Sunset Shindig fundraiser. The event was planned and hosted by current parents Kathleen Mandzij and Noelle Ridings. Guests enjoyed the tunes of the Blue Jersey Band while sampling meals from multiple different food trucks and drinks from a bar housed in a vintage Winnebago camper.
