Tuition and Financial Aid

Three options are available for the payment of tuition. Families may elect a payment option based on their personal financial situation.

• Tuition may be paid in full; due June 15
• Tuition may be paid semi-annually; due June 15 and December 15
• Tuition may be paid in 10 monthly installments; due the 15th of each month, for the period of May - February

Please note that all payment plans are administered by Blackbaud Tuition Management. All payments are to be made online via the Blackbaud Tuition Management portal. 

Our financial aid program is designed to make a Stuart education accessible for families based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funds. We are proud to use the Clarity Application to determine a family’s level of financial need based on the information that families share in the application which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts.

To begin, please go to the Clarity Application and create an account. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. The Clarity Application is mobile-friendly, so that you can complete it from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return to it at any time. At the end of the application, there is a $60 fee to submit.

Please submit all documentation through Clarity.

• If self-employed, submit proper tax return information. 
• Families who have a Schedule E income from a partnership and/or S-Corporation are asked to submit 1065 and/or 1120-S paperwork along with K-1 information. 

The deadline for completing the financial aid application, including relevant supplemental documents, is January 16, 2026.

If you need support while completing your application, there is in-app support and email support at support@clarityapp.com in both English and Spanish. The application is also fully translated into Spanish. You can also refer to the 2026-27 Clarity Family Application Guide. 2025 Clarity Financial Aid Family Info Night Webinar Dates

We invite all families interested in applying for financial aid to join one of Clarity's upcoming webinars this fall. These sessions will walk you through how to complete the Clarity application and will include time for Q&A. Families may register for any session, regardless of time zone. Recordings will also be available.

We have chosen Clarity as our financial aid application provider in order to better serve both our current and prospective families. We are confident that this change is going to make the process of applying for financial aid easier for families. 
 

How does Clarity make it easier for me to apply for financial aid?

Clarity offers a streamlined, mobile friendly application that can be completed in as short a time as 20 minutes. Additionally, Clarity removes the need to upload your W-2s and tax documentation by transferring them directly from the IRS. This reduces the amount of information that you will need to enter manually and makes it possible to complete the application quickly and efficiently. 

Is my information secure with Clarity?

Stuart takes the privacy and security of your personal information very seriously. Clarity is certified for both GDPR and SOC2 and uses enterprise-level security standards including end-to-end encryption of all personally identifiable information. How will this impact my award? 

Just as in prior years, if your financial circumstances have not changed, you will not see significant changes to your award. If you have any questions about your individual circumstance, please reach out to us. 
 

Will I still need to apply every year?

Yes, you will need to submit a Clarity application each year in order to qualify for financial aid; however, Clarity retains your information from previous applications, so it will be even easier to reapply.
 

Can I complete my Clarity application on my phone or tablet?

Yes! Clarity’s application is fully mobile-friendly so you have access wherever you are. 
 

When do I need to apply?

You must submit your full completed application by January 16, 2026.

Stuart Country Day School includes many educational expenses as part of tuition including most field trips, co-curricular activities, and lunch for Lower, Middle and Upper School students for the academic year.

Additional expenses a family might anticipate include:

• School Uniforms: Uniforms are required for students grade JK - 8, and Upper School students are required to wear a Stuart blazer on special occasions. Uniforms may be purchased new through Lands' End or gently used through Encore Emporium, our parent organized exchange program. Stuart’s Lands End school code is 900025313.
• Books and Supplies: Supply lists are issued annually by grade level. Middle and Upper School students will also need to purchase books as assigned by the faculty.
• Technology: Stuart is a 1:1 school beginning in Middle School. Middle School students should bring an iPad or tablet, and Upper School students may select a laptop, iPad or tablet.
• Extended Day: For families who require extended day offerings, please contact Ms. Marianne O'Grady at mogrady@stuartschool.org to discuss programs available.
• Other costs to consider: Some experiential learning opportunities including national and international trips include expenses above and beyond the cost of tuition.
