How to Apply

1. Application: Click here to apply for the Early Childhood program.
    
2. Assessment: Early Childhood 3's applicants are required to meet with the Head of the Early Childhood and Lower School for a group observation on Thursday, January 16 or Tuesday, January 30, 2025. Click here to register for a group observation.
   • Early Childhood 2's applicants are required to schedule a brief classroom visit with the classroom teacher. Reach out to Hillary Nastro, Director of Enrollment, at hnastro@stuartschool.org to schedule your visit.
      
3. Parent Meeting: All parents of applicants will be asked to meet with a member of the Admissions team for an informal conversation to better understand the needs for your child and learn more about the application process. It is preferred that these are conducted in person; however, a virtual option can be made available as needed. Interviews can be scheduled on the same day as the student shadow visit or observation or at another time of your choosing. If you have not scheduled your child's visit, please contact Admissions so we can coordinate a time for you and your child.

3. Visit: Applicants applying for Grades 1-4 are required to meet with the Head of Early Childhood and Lower School and join us for a full-day visit. Contact Stuart Admissions at admissions@stuartschool.org.

Discovery Day: Middle School applicants are required to attend one of our Discovery Days. Discovery Days at Stuart provide prospective Middle School students with the opportunity to visit classes, meet students and faculty, and tour our campus. Families must submit the Student Biographical section of the Standard Application Online to register. Click here to view the schedule. The registration link will be provided by a member of the Admissions Team once the Student Biographical Profile and application fee are submitted.
    
3. Interviews:
   • Student Interview: Applicants for Grades 5-8 are required to meet with a member of the Admissions Team during their Discovery Day visit.
   • Parent Meeting: All parents of applicants will be asked to meet with the Head of the Middle School for an informal conversation to better understand the needs for your child. It is preferred that these are conducted in person; however, a virtual option can be made available as needed. Parent Meetings can be scheduled on the same day as the student Discovery Day or at another time of your choosing.

4. Testing: Applicants for Grade 5-8 are required to submit standardized testing as part of the application process. The SSAT is preferred, though the ISEE or ERB are also acceptable. Information regarding the SSAT can be found at www.ssat.org. If you choose to submit testing other than the SSAT, please send the results directly to the Admissions Office at admissionsoffice@stuartschool.org.
