Girls Athletics and Leadership Conference

Gia Fruscione is a 1996 graduate of Stuart Country Day School. Following Stuart, Gia went on to graduate from Princeton University, where she was a two-sport Division 1 athlete in field hockey and ice hockey. She was also honored to play for the United States as a goalkeeper with USA Field Hockey.

Outside of sports, Gia received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Human Movement Science from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. 

The first decade and a half of Gia’s career was spent in physical therapy and sports performance, working with athletes of all levels, from recreational to elite and professional. She moved on to the healthcare startup ecosystem before launching Let Her Play in 2022.

As the founder and executive director of the not-for-profit organization Let Her Play, Gia’s goal is to engage and enroll more girls in sports so they are able to develop key life skills that have been proven to help girls reach their full potential.

In addition to her role at Let Her Play, Gia serves as a co-chair and investor with Princeton Alumni Angels, focusing on companies in health and wellness. She also works as a life coach and mentor for young women and women in their careers (especially entrepreneurs), helping them to clarify values and goals, blend their responsibilities, and optimize their time to reach their peak performance. And best of all, she's a youth ice hockey coach for her daughters' teams in Colorado.
