Kirsten holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Most recently, she was the advancement director at Mountain View Montessori - a private pre-K through 8 school in the Lake Tahoe area of Nevada. As advancement director she served on the administration team and assisted with strategic planning, as well as acted as the school's fundraiser and community liaison. She was responsible for fostering relationships within the school population as well as with outside organizations. In addition, Kirsten is also a certified and experienced middle school educator. Preceding her life in education, Kirsten had over a decade of experience in executive recruiting and business development.
Currently, Kirsten serves on the inclusion, acceptance & diversity sub-committee on the New Hope Solebury School Board, is a volunteer in the Learning Ally Ambassador Program in Princeton, which promotes self advocacy for those with dyslexia, and is a co-founder and board member of Montessori Nevada, which ensures Montessori education is protected by both state and federal education policy and regulation.
