More About Extended Care at Stuart

After 3:00 PM, children in Early Childhood through Grade 4 are brought to Extended Care in Millie's Garden if they miss their bus or if parents are unable to pick up their children as scheduled. Anticipated changes in a child’s dismissal plan must be communicated to Kristy Tancredi in the Lower School office at ktancredi@stuartschool.org or 609.921.2330 x4216 before 2:00 PM. Children will always be taken to Extended Care if a parent is late for any reason.

A drop-in charge of $5 per half-hour will be invoiced daily for students not pre-registered for Extended Care.

Between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, you may contact Mrs. Pierpont and the Extended Day staff at apierpont@stuartschool.org or 609.921.2330 x4118.

In the afternoon, the Home Base in Millie's Garden is set up with games and books, learning centers and play equipment. Children are offered a healthy snack and every student is encouraged to play outdoors.

Parents who must arrive after 6:00 PM are asked to call the Extended Care room at 609.921.2330 x4118. An additional fee of $10 per half hour will be charged after 6:00 PM.

Home Away from Home

We offer quiet spaces for students to relax and read or do homework in a location without distractions.

Upper School students join us in Extended Care and provide a lovely addition to our Stuart Sacred Heart experience. A strength of the Extended Care program is the opportunity for students to have enrichment classes with their friends at Stuart while under the direction of carefully chosen specialized teachers. We provide a smooth transition to classes in the arts, literature, STEM, sports and chess. Parents can depend upon our caring, safe environment at the end of every day.

Vacation Camp

When classes are not in session, Vacation Camp is available to children in the Early Childhood Program, girls in JK–4, as well as friends from outside of Stuart. Cost per day is $70 for the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and pre-registration is required.

Vacation Camp Dates for 2018–2019

Camp dates will be forthcoming. June Vacation Camp days are also StuArts Camp.

Vacation Camp is run by our Extended Day staff so there are lots of familiar faces and lots of fun. Special activities and treats are always in the works—rain or shine! Vacation Camp is based out of the Extended Day Home Base but we use all of Stuart's facilities as needed.
