Parent Association

Organized in 1971, Stuart’s Parent Association (SPA) serves to foster parents’ interest in the school and involve them in enhancing the quality of their daughters’ lives through enrichment activities designed to support both student and parent. The organization also functions as a communications conduit between faculty, students and parents. The work of SPA is led by the Executive Council, consisting of SPA's elected officers and the Head of School. The Executive Council, which meets monthly, coordinates events and supports the school in many areas. Elected officers serve for a term of two years.

'Breakfast with Santa' brings joy and good cheer to Stuart

The spirit of the Christmas holidays were felt all over Stuart last Saturday during Breakfast with Santa. The Dad’s Club served a delicious pancake breakfast, children rode the Stuart Express, and Santa Claus granted Christmas wishes. Special thanks to SPA and all involved in making Breakfast with Santa a joyful occasion.

SPA General Meeting and Guest Speaker, Dr. Leonard Sax: Wed. Nov. 30, 7 PM

On Wednesday, November 30, there will be a SPA general meeting followed by special guest speaker, Dr. Leonard Sax.

Leonard Sax, M.D., Ph.D., is a noted expert in the field of single gender education. He is the author of three books for parents: Why Gender Matters, Boys Adrift, and most recently, Girls on the Edge. The event is free and open to the public.

Share in the joy of the Christmas season as we celebrate with something for everyone! Visit with Santa; ride the "Stuart Express" Train’; make Christmas crafts; enjoy performances by the Grinch, his Seussical friends, and the Tartan Tones; and listen to Christmas classics in the book corner. Also, a pancake breakfast will be provided by the Stuart Dad's Club and the Tartan Holiday Boutique will be open for holiday shopping. Come visit with friends and enjoy the spirit of the holidays as a community! Download information. Pay in advance by Nov. 28th or at the door!

Also available are new gym uniforms for Grades 3–8. The new grey T-shirts and green shorts are available now in every size, from youth small to adult x-large. Shirts and shorts are $10 each. They can be purchased during gym class or in the Stuart BookBag. Checks should be made payable to "Stuart Country Day".

Book Fair All New This Year

Stuart's Annual Book Fair is all new this year! Please join us on Monday, November 7 from 12:00–4:00 PM to browse and preview your favorite titles and publishers, the latest fiction and non-fiction for all ages, holiday books, cookbooks and more. Hours for Tuesday through Friday will be 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with a special evening of shopping on Thursday, November 10 until 8:00 PM. All proceeds benefit the Stuart Parent Association, so that they may continue to sponsor events that enrich our community.
