Get ready to be transported across the pond for Stuart’s 2012 Auction, with our theme 'London’s Calling' on Saturday night, April 21! The students will join in the festivities including a weeklong Carnival Auction, in lieu of a Friday night event.
It's not too late to join us as the Stuart Community comes together to help feed families at Loaves and Fishes in Trenton. Early Saturday morning Stuart Upper School girls will be helping load cars/trucks with food early in the morning, and will join faculty, staff, parents and other students, as we serve food and help hand out warm clothing at St. Mary's Cathedral. Volunteers are welcome beginning at 9AM at St. Mary's Cathedral. Donations of money, adult hats, scarves, socks and gloves can be brought directly to St. Mary's. The busiest times are between 10:45AM - 1:30PM. Read more for directions.
This week the Cooking Club had a lot of fun learning how to create a very impressive dessert: a flower-like cup made completely out of chocolate with a scrumptious chocolate mousse inside! The fun part was that the girls learned how to create the chocolate holder out of balloons: first they inflated them; then they dipped them in melted chocolate; and then after letting them harden in the refrigerator, they filled them with the fluffy mousse.
The Middle School students are currently preparing to perform in their upcoming musical revue entitled “I Enjoy Being a Girl: A Tribute to Broadway’s Leading Ladies”. The revue will consist of various solo, duet, and ensemble numbers that pay tribute to the songs and performances of Broadway’s most memorable actresses. The revue will take place on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 PM in Stuart Little Theater.
Grade 8 will have their traditional overnight at Stuart on Friday evening, February 24. The afternoon will begin with a movie and popcorn in Stuart Little Theater followed by a pizza dinner and then attending the Upper School performance of Hairspray. Following the musical, students can choose to sleep over with their classmates and faculty chaperones as part of this annual Middle School tradition.

Beginning in the 2012-2013 school year, Stuart’s Middle School will institute an updated uniform policy. Students will be able to choose between the a-line or wrap-around traditional plaid kilts or khaki pants and between navy, green or white polo shirts with the Stuart logo. 8th graders will continue to have the privilege of wearing yellow shirts. All of these items will still be offered through our approved vendors, as they are now, and the change is the removal of certain shirt colors and skirts/skorts permitted in previous years.
