On a cool, windy day, which was not optimal for success in track and field, many of Stuart's young team members step-up for those who couldn't make it to the Lawrenceville Invitational meet. Sophomore Priscilla Francois lead the charge in 400IH with a season best and 2nd place in 400IH. A sprint relay with three freshmen, Nora Flamer, Alex Ottomanelli, Jasmine Hansford and senior Ally McGowen scored a fifth place. Alex and Jasmine also had personal best in the long jump. Several veterans did have impressive results, lead by senior Casey Nelson with a third place in the 1600M, senior Milan Kainer with a fourth place in the discus, senior Claudary Jones in shot put and discus, junior Madeleine Michaels was impressive in javelin, shot put and discus. Senior Jada Postadan had a season best in both hurdle races. Sophomore Alexandra Rounds won her heat in the 800M. In the 100M and 200M we went with all freshmen with Jasmine, Nora, Wendy Wang and Alex performing very well. The parents in the stands and the remaining crowd were treated to an exciting final race of the day, where the Stuart 4x400 relay won their Heat. Jasmine led it off, Casey kept us close, Priscilla caught the Princeton H.S. runner and Alexandra kept the lead as the Stuart parents went wild after the win! It was a great way to end a three-hour meet!
