STEM at Stuart was proudly on display at the Jersey Shore Makerfest in Toms River Saturday, October 14! This year's large Stuart contingent included our Upper School Sparks robotics team and a group Middle School students–accompanied by STEM/SIFE Coordinator Alicia Testa, Tech Innovation Specialist Sarah Rusnock, and Assistant Head of Middle School Maria Spina. Middle School students demonstrated Makey Makey kits, 3D pens, button machines, and LED ghosts. Our Sparks robotics team spent time as FIRST Robotics Tech Challenge (FTC) representatives and also had a chance to work on building their robot and practice driving. In addition, our girls worked with other FTC teams in the driver's pit, giving visitors an opportunity to learn how to drive and control the robots. We are grateful to our fabulous faculty for going above and beyond to make fabulous experiences like this possible for our girls.
