Fasten your seatbelts and let’s get ready for take-off!  Plan your itinerary and join other Stuart families as we embark on our annual spring gala, “Around the World at Stuart!”

This year’s voyage will begin with Family Fun Night on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Stuart.  You and your daughters will travel through many countries experiencing the delights of baskets filled with culture, plus so much more.  The journey includes a delicious buffet dinner, children’s auction and games in addition to a wide variety of silent auction items for the whole family. 

Saturday evening’s International Gala will be held at St. Francis Hall at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Skillman, on April 12th, 2008.  Take a trip with us and enjoy cocktails, an elegant dinner and an exhilarating live auction including gift items from around the world.

Please join your fellow Stuart families as we come together for a worthy cause - our school.  Each year, Stuart families generously donate goods, services and many other contributions toward the Gala, a significant fundraiser and social event for the entire Stuart community.  The proceeds from this year's event will fund important enhancements to our school.  The success of this fundraiser is entirely possible thanks to your family's contributions.

We would like to encourage all of you to participate, to get inspired and be creative with your donation!  Perhaps you would like to donate tickets to a sporting event or Broadway show.  Gift certificates to restaurants, spas or other services are also popular items.  Perhaps you can share your particular talents.  For example, you could volunteer to teach origami, give cooking lessons, or create a themed birthday party.  Maybe you've realized that you will not be able to use your time-share this year.  Why not donate it and enjoy the tax deduction?  Do you own a second home near the beach or a ski resort?   Donating a week would be a fabulous idea.  Are you traveling over Christmas or spring break?  Do you have family in another country?  Why not do some shopping abroad and pick up gift items for the auction.  No donation is too small.  The possibilities are endless!

We are looking to our families and our community to help celebrate Stuart’s wonderful diversity by creating a new “International Delights” table.  You can participate by putting together an international basket or a special international collectible.  For example, an “Out of Africa Basket” may include South African Wines, textiles, jewelry, etc.  You may also consider donating a single item such as a Hummel figurine or a Waterford crystal vase.  Please consider this as you travel throughout the year. 

In addition, various levels of sponsorship are available, as well as an opportunity to place an advertisement or family message in the catalog.  We will begin accepting your contributions immediately.  Forms are available at the front desk, or you may contact us and we will have them sent directly to you.  Please return the forms to Karen DelleFave in the Development Office as soon as possible.  

Your attendance at the Around the World at Stuart Gala is vital as well.  So come and celebrate a night out with friends and participate in our biggest fundraiser for the year!
