Business Fair

The #LEADLIKEAGIRL Business Fair is an opportunity for high school girls to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and business acumen through a business plan of their own design.

Students present their developed good or service to a panel of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and a participating audience, in a competition for four cash prizes, awarded to the business plans that are deemed most innovative and profitable.

A total of $5,000 will be awarded for business plans!

Each business plan will receive an evaluation and constructive criticism from a panel of experts, based on a rubric which identifies the submission that would be most attractive to potential investors.

Who can participate?

Any female student or pair of students currently enrolled in grades 9–12 may enter and compete in the Business Fair.

How do I compete in the #LEADLIKEAGIRL Business Fair?

The deadline for Business Fair submissions is before January 17, 2020. The requirements, rubric, and a full description of the fair details are available on the Business Fair Requirements document.

Business Proposal Requirements

Your business may be any good or service that is demonstrably unique among current products and executable within a model of realistic limitations. It is not required that you be personally capable of executing the business plan as a high school student, but the plan may not invoke nonexistent or impossible technology, real estate, etc.
