Stuart Parent Association - Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart

Organized in 1971, the Stuart Parent Association (SPA) serves to foster parents’ interest in the school and involve them in enhancing the quality of their daughters’ lives through enrichment activities designed to support both student and parent.

The organization also functions as a communications conduit between faculty, students and parents. The work of SPA is led by the Executive Council, consisting of SPA's elected officers and the Head of School. The Executive Council, which meets quarterly, coordinates events and supports the school in many areas. Elected officers serve for a term of two years.

SPA Meetings 2021-2022

The Stuart Parent Association hosts two open meetings during the academic year in addition to all-school divisional and parent education programming. Please join us on September 15 and May 11. Additional details will be shared with the parent community prior to the meetings.

Ongoing Opportunities

Class Parents

Class parents serve as welcome ambassadors, party planners, recruit volunteers, and more. The class parents are the first line of communication between and among faculty, administration, SPA, and Stuart Families. We will be reaching out this spring to solicit volunteers for next year. Bookbag: (Stuart School Store)

The Bookbag sells everything from pens and pencils to Stuart spirit logo items. Time commitment is flexible and there are many ways to get involved from merchandising to volunteering for specific time blocks during the week. Important Note: Due to COVID-19, the Bookbag will be available online at https://stuartbookbag.square.site/. Items can be purchased via credit card and be made available for pickup at the Stuart front desk.

Encore Emporium/Used Uniforms

Located outside in the front of the school, in front of the dining center, on racks.

There will be no attendant. Please use the honor system to donate per item indicated on the box.

Offered as a service to the Stuart Community, SPA operates “The Encore Emporium,” throughout the year where parents can drop off or pick up gently used uniforms. Help is needed periodically to straighten up and help sort donations for sale throughout the summer, and/or on Orientation Days, Back-to-School Nights, and occasionally throughout the year. If you would like to volunteer or have any questions please contact Leah Klein at leahcklein@comcast.net. Important Note: Due to COVID-19, Encore Emporium items will be made available to families at designated times with social distancing guidelines in place.
