Extended Day & Enrichment

Before Care

Early Childhood & Lower School 

Early Childhood 2 and 3 year olds may be dropped after 7:30 AM in their classroom where they will be supervised by a member of the EC faculty. There is no charge for the half hour before class begins.

Lower School children in Junior Kindergarten - Grade 4  may begin to arrive  after 7:15 AM and should go directly to the Millie’s Garden where they will be supervised by Head of Lower School Christine D'Alessandro and Director of Auxiliary Programs Mrs. Anne Piepront until they go to their classrooms at 8:00 AM. There is no charge for those who arrive after 7:15 AM. 

Middle and Upper School

Students may arrive after 7:15 AM and should go to the respective resource centers.

After Care for Early Childhood and Lower School (3:00-6:00 PM)

Supervised, structured and unstructured playtime

  • One Semester Daily until 4:00 PM:  $660 Register
  • One semester daily until 5:00 PM: $1480 Register
  • One semester until 6:00 PM: $2200 Register
  • Daily drop-in or weekly/monthly option at $12/hour Register

*There is a 5% sibling discount that activates with the second child.

For Lower School students who are not pre-registered for After Care, please communicate anticipated changes in your child’s dismissal to Sadasia Adams  in the Lower School office at sadams@sturtschool.org or 609-921-4216 before 2:00 PM. 

Any child who has not been picked up by 3:30 PM will be taken to Millie’s Garden to After Care. 

Extended Day Enrichment 

Classes are offered to students in EC 2/3 through Grade 8. Classes generally meet right after dismissal for 45 minutes, depending on the age group  We will be offering a variety of academic and extra-curricular enrichment classes in the arts, sports, and STEM.  Classes will not be offered if we do not have the minimum number of students enrolled.

Girl Scouts

There is currently one Girl Scout Junior Troop (Grade 4) at Stuart. If your daughter in any grade level (K-12) would like to be involved in Girl Scouts, please reach out to Jaci Trzaska (Jaclyn.trzaska@yahoo.com) to discuss joining or forming a troop. GIRLS ON THE RUN

For girls in grades 3-5. Program will take place at Stuart on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 PM - 4:45 PM. Coach: Ms. Kristen Zosche, Upper School Dean of Students. Register at www.girlsontherunnj.org.

Vacation Camp Days (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Offered when classes are not in session. Vacation camp is available to students in the Early Childhood and Lower School, as well as friends from the outside of Stuart. The fee is $12/hour and pre-registration is required. The program runs based on a minimum number of children.  Please register early for these days. If we do not have sufficient enrollment two weeks ahead of the date,  a notice to parents will be sent by Mrs.D'Alessandro and Mrs. Pierpont.
