Special Events

Stuart’s community enjoys many rich traditions. Some are steeped in the Sacred Heart experience and are universal to all Network schools. Others are particular to Stuart itself. Many echo the philosophy of the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria. At Stuart, students and faculty learn, love and laugh together and have a pride in their school that comes through in the celebration of these events. Follow the links below to learn more about each.

Visiting Author Program

Each year in April a prominent author visits Stuart for a full day to share their expertise on the craft of writing with students of all age, grades kindergarten through 12. The entire school becomes involved, and faculty members embrace and honor the work of the author and spend months preparing students for Visiting Author Day. The result is a truly unique and magical day. Visiting Authors have included Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Paul Muldoon (2009), best-selling novelist Jonathan Safran Foer (2010), and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jhumpa Lahiri (2011).
