Fine Arts

The discipline-based fine arts education program at Stuart strives to make the arts a vital part of a student’s education by providing an outstanding arts curriculum for every grade level in music, drama and visual art.  The program includes classes in skill building, art history, aesthetics, and critique, and the curriculum supports the conviction that the arts offer important tools for personal expression, intellectual, and social development; that the arts are an essential part of the academic curriculum for the achievement of human, social, and economic growth. The program embraces all learning styles in a framework encouraging teamwork and fostering leadership skills. 

Art education at Stuart seeks to develop in its students:
