Barbara Boggs Sigmund Award
Do you know an exceptional woman, an alumna of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, and a person you admire? Then we invite you to recommend her for the 2006 Barbara Boggs Sigmund Alumnae Award.
Barbara Boggs Sigmund was an exceptional woman and Sacred Heart alumna (The Rosary, Stone Ridge, and Manhattanville), whose commitment to Sacred Heart values included teaching at Stuart and serving her community as mayor of Princeton Borough. This alumnae award was established in her honor and highlights the achievements of Stuart alumnae whose lives are a testament to the relevance and merit of a Sacred Heart education in the contemporary world.
In considering an alumna for this award, please keep in mind the criteria which requires the candidate to demonstrate a commitment in her life to the Sacred Heart values of:
- a social awareness, either as a professional or as a volunteer, which compels to action;
- a critical sense which has led to a reflection of our society and its values; and,
- a profound commitment to the improvement of the human condition in the world.

Please assess yourself and other alumnae using the above criteria and e-mail your nominations to Karen Delle Fave in the Stuart Alumnae Office at kdellefave@stuartschool.org. For each nominee, you will be asked to submit a written recommendation of no more than 300 words. All candidates will then be contacted by the award committee for a brief interview. Members of the award committee are not eligible for the award.
The winner of the Barbara Boggs Sigmund Alumnae Award will be announced on Alumnae Day 2006.
