Admission Requirements
Lower School: Kindergarten - Grade 5
Requirements for admission to Stuart’s Lower School include the following:

Application: A completed application, including a $75 application fee, is required by January 31, 2012 for the 2012-2013 school year.

Interview: A parent interview will be scheduled at the time of the applicant’s visit. The Admissions Office will contact you to schedule an appointment once your child’s application is received.

School Visit:

Kindergarten: The applicant will visit the Junior Kindergarten class from 8:30 to 11:30 am. Girls must be five years old by September 1 of the Kindergarten academic year.

Grades 1–5: Applicants will visit a Stuart classroom with girls in their current grade. The visit will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 3:10 pm.

Testing (Kindergarten – Grade 5): An assessment will be administered during the applicant’s visit.

Recommendation: A recommendation from the applicant’s current teacher is required, and should be mailed directly to Stuart by the recommending teacher no later than February 1, 2011.

Transcripts:

Kindergarten: No transcript is required.

Grades 1–5: A transcript, including official grades and standardized test scores, must be mailed directly to Stuart from the applicant’s present school.
- Final grades from the previous year and mid-year grades for the current year are required by February 1, 2011.
