Application
A completed application form plus $75 application fee is required.
Interview
An informal meeting with the Admissions staff for the candidate and her parents should be scheduled during the school visit or at another, more convenient, time. Please call the Admission Office for an appointment. Applicants who are unable to visit while school is in session should contact the Admission Office to make arrangements for a student interview.
School Visit
Kindergarten
The candidate will visit for a morning (8:30-11:45) in the Junior Kindergarten class. A screening for Kindergarten applicants will take place during the child's visit. Girls must be 5 by September 1 of the Kindergarten year.
Grades 1-5
Applicants spend the entire school day, until 3:10 p.m., with students in their current grade. Applicants to grades 1-5 should arrive at 8:30 a.m.
Testing
Kindergarten
An assessment will be administered during child's visit.
Grades 1-5
Testing offered at the time of the visit.
Recommendations
A recommendation from the student's current teacher is required and should be mailed directly to Stuart.
Transcripts
Kindergarten:
No transcript is required.
Grades 1-5:
A transcript, including official grades and standardized test scores from the applicant's present school, should be mailed directly to Stuart.
