Spring activities


On March 10, McCarter Theatre's Education Department's touring show will present The Odyssey Experience in Stuart's Cor Unum. The greatest epic of western literature, Odysseus’s voyage is the subject of an innovative participatory style of children’s theater. The only scenery is the imagination of the audience, our children, as they, together with an ensemble of professional actors, create every facet of the theatrical experience. The show will be presented twice: from 12:45-1:45 for Grades 2-4 and from 2:00 to 3:00 for Grades 5 and 6. Parents are welcome.

On Tuesday, March 11. the fourth grade students will present "The Biblical Way of Jesus" (Stations of the Cross) in Stuart's Little Theater as a morning assembly, 8:05 am. Parents are invited. Thank you to the Religion teachers, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Andrews, who are preparing the girls for this special presentation.

April 2 – Dancers from India will perform for the entire student body at 2:15 p.m. in Cor Unum

April 4 – Women We Admire Day,

             8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

             Students and teachers from kindergarten to the fifth grade will come to school dressed as an admirable woman.  A prayer service will be followed by a talking museum conducted by the students.


April 11 – SPA Auction Family Night takes place in Stuart's gym.  It's a night of fun, games and opportunities to participate in a silent auction.

April 12 – First Grade travels to Howell Farm for Sheep Shearing


April 21 – Earth Day is celebrated by the lower school, through prayer and outside cleanup activities.

April 23 – K-4 ART TRIPS -

Kindergarten visits Grounds for Sculpture,

First Grade visits the Morris Museum,

Second Grade visits the Mercer Museum,

Third Grade visits the Montclair Art Museum and Fourth Grade visits the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Historic District.

Students in grade 5 have a full day of musical practice.


April 30 - Austrian Sacred Heart School presents a concert to the entire school.


May 3 (7:00 p.m.) and May 4 (2:00 p.m.) – 5th Grade Musical, The Enchantment, is being presented in Cor Unum.

May 8 – The Third Grade travels to enjoy the Princeton Symphony


May 12 Grandparents'/Grandfriends' Day is celebrated with a concert and visit to the classrooms.  Activities begin at 8:30 in the preschool, 9:00 a.m. in the lower school and end at 11:30 a.m.
