The Libraries at Stuart
Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart is home to two libraries serving students preschool through grade 12. The Leonard Etz Library, serving students in The Pre-School at Stuart and the Lower School, includes a collection of approximately 6,000 items, including books, videotapes and DVDs, periodicals, and other media. The Raissa Maritain Library serves both the Middle and Upper Schools. Approximately 12,000 items, including books, audio and videotapes, periodicals and other media, make up this collection. Computers are available in the Maritain Library and allow students to access appropriate sources online.
The primary purpose of the libraries is to function as an intellectual force within the Stuart community. They provide physical and intellectual access to information and resources as well as a selective collection of materials. The librarians encourage faculty to bring their classes to the library, students to utilize the materials, and both to take advantage of the numerous services offered to them through both libraries.
