Welcome to the Learning Center!

As part of the "new Stuart" the Learning  Center has been significantly enlarged.  We now have a central meeting room that houses our library of resources for parents and teachers.  Available here are hundreds of books and tapes containing the latest findings in the field of learning.  We are more than happy to help you research any area in which you are interested.   Here you will also find computer carrels available to students and teachers for quiet work.

Other additions to the Learning Center include individual workrooms for each of the four learning specialists on staff.  This is where we work with students, one-to-one or in small groups, providing academic support and instruction in math, reading, writing and study skills.  In this way, we can meet enrichment or supplementary needs that can't be met in the classroom.  We are available to provide individual support in a classroom at a teacher's request and we also travel into the classrooms to teach study skills and to partner with teachers on specific projects.

From our Learning Center office we coordinate outside professional services including neuro-psychological testing, occupational therapy, and speech/language services.
