Stuart's building is set into a gentle slope on 55 wooded acres on the outskirts of Princeton, New Jersey. It was designed by Princeton University Professor Jean Labutut, former Head of the Graduate School of Architecture, whose modernist style is characterized by a great sensitivity to the wild beauty of the site. His idea was to build, in the heart of a forest, a school in which the demarcation line between the natural world and the man-made world of the building was barely discernible. His design of poured concrete and green brick features large windows in all of the original classrooms. The classroom addition, completed in September 1993, blends seamlessly with Labutut's original design.

The Facilities Tour will take you through the areas described above. Please take our Architecture Tour to learn about the many symbolic aspects of the building.
