On Monday, May 14, Grade 4 had a visitor from the colonial American past when Mr. Michael Penchenski, uncle of Nell Schambra, came to talk to the students about the life of a colonial soldier. The girls were amazed at his stories about colonial life and war, and were very impressed with all that went into being a soldier in the late 1700's. We all thank Mr. Penchenski for coming to the fourth grade to share his information, especially at a time when the class is studying the Revolution. It was "History Alive" once again!
